Lingering Datasource field

Hey everyone!

I have recently started working with the Novulo Architect, and am still learning about all different components and integrations. However, while trying out some options, I have encountered a bug that I wanted to share.

This is what I have done to encounter the bug:

The bug

  1. Open a new form on a pagerow5050 element
  2. Place a Dropdown field on that form
  3. Rename the field to nothing (an error pops up)
  4. Close the error, select and hover over the dropdown
  5. Delete the dropdown from the form while still hovered over the dropdown

After doing these steps, I am left with a lingering message that tells me that no Datasource has been found. I will now include pictures of what this looks like on my machine:

I have more pictures of the error, but new users are only permitted one media item per post.

As you can see, I now have to restart my machine to get rid of the error.

I do not know how exactly this error has been created, whether it is in the Architect or my laptop bugging, but I wanted to share this anyways.

Thank you for your time, and I hope this is not too big of an issue!

With Regards,

Armando.

@Armando, good day!

Thank you for the reporting the issue, we will look into it why it appears.
Usually to hide the message you need to click on it.

Hi Armando,

I could reproduce the problem with just the following steps:

  1. Select any element with an “indicator-square”
  2. Hover this “indicator-square” with the mouse
  3. Press the delete-key on the keyboard

I have found a simple workaround to get rid of the “lingering message”: clicking on the lingering message makes the tooltip disappear (either on the yellow title or somewhere on the border). This appears to work in all cases I have encountered. If however, you encounter some situation where it doesn’t, closing the Architect also makes the tooltip disappear (slightly less drastic then restarting your machine).

Hello,

We have noted this issue internally, as “SR62378 - Onhover information does not disappear (only after closing the architect)”.

Regards
Joachim
