Dit artikel geeft een overzicht van hoe platformlicenties en het eigenaarschap van applicatie‑ en componentmodellen binnen het Novulo Platform zijn ingericht.

1. Platformlicentie

Een platformlicentie geeft het gebruiksrecht op applicaties die gebaseerd zijn op een Novulo‑applicatiemodel.

Dit gebruiksrecht:

  • wordt verleend onder de Platformvoorwaarden,

  • kan direct bij Novulo of via een reseller worden aangeschaft,

  • wordt toegekend aan de afnemer (platformlicentiehouder).

De platformlicentie geeft medewerkers van de afnemer toestemming om de applicatie intern te gebruiken.

2. Applicaties en content

Een Novulo‑applicatie bestaat uit:

  • componenten,

  • datasets,

  • plugins.

Deze onderdelen worden gezamenlijk aangeduid als content.

De platformlicentie regelt ook de aanvraag van licenties voor deze content.

Voor bepaalde content kan een aanvullende licentie gelden, bijvoorbeeld bij high value componenten.

Daarnaast kan de platformlicentiehouder toegang aanvragen tot componenten van derden, om bijvoorbeeld een nog niet gepubliceerde nightly build te testen.

3. Eigenaarschap van modellen

Voor alle applicatie‑ en componentmodellen binnen het Novulo Platform wordt vastgelegd wie de eigenaar is.

Componentmodellen

Bij componentmodellen is de eigenaar de rechthebbende.

Deze beslist over publicatie en ontvangt eventuele licentievergoedingen.

Applicatiemodellen

Bij applicatiemodellen is de platformlicentiehouder de eigenaar.

Dit komt doordat deze het gebruiksrecht heeft op de applicaties die op het model zijn gebaseerd.

De eigenaar bepaalt wie het model:

  • mag inzien,

  • en mag bewerken,

bijvoorbeeld een implementatiepartner die bijdraagt aan inrichting of ontwikkeling.

4. Toegang tot componentmodellen van derden

Wanneer een organisatie componentmodellen van derden gebruikt:

  • worden de verstrekte toegangsrechten geregistreerd,

  • en wordt toegang verleend op organisatieniveau.

Omdat alle medewerkers van de eigenaar toegang tot deze componenten nodig hebben om met de applicatie te kunnen werken.

This usage right:

  • is granted under the Platform Terms and Conditions,

  • can be obtained directly from Novulo or via a reseller,

  • is assigned to the customer (platform license holder).

The platform license allows employees of the customer to use the application internally.

2. Applications and content

A Novulo application consists of:

  • components,

  • datasets,

  • plugins.

These elements are collectively referred to as content.

The platform license also governs the licensing of this content.

Certain content may require an additional license, for example high value components.

In addition, the platform license holder may request access to third‑party components, for example to test an unpublished nightly build.

3. Ownership of models

For all application and component models within the Novulo Platform, it is defined who the owner is.

Component models

For component models, the owner is the rights holder.

This party decides on publication and receives any applicable license fees.

Application models

For application models, the platform license holder is the owner.

This is because the organization holds the usage rights to the applications based on the model.

The owner determines who may:

  • view the model,

  • edit the model,

for example an implementation partner contributing to configuration or development.

4. Access to third‑party component models

When an organization uses third‑party component models:

  • the granted access rights are registered,

  • and access is provided at organizational level.

This is required because all employees of the owner need access to these components in order to work with the application.
