Searching in Architect

The Architect has a find button so you can search for an element (a page, field, function, basically anything selectable in the Architect).

Click on the magnifying glass to open the “Find” window or press CTRL + F.

A window will open:

  • Find > your string for a search,
  • Internal names > also check database names,
  • Languages > as elements might be translated to Dutch, German, French, etc., you can select what language you want to look into. It is however advised to search in English,
  • Look in > search through the whole component of the part of it,

Pressing search opens the first page containing an element with your string or id. If there are multiple elements with your string in their names, you can use the “Search results” tab to double-click those and find their position.

Similar to the Call hierarchy panel you can use:

  • the refresh icon > run the current search again
  • the search icon > set options
  • the clock icon > check history.

Tip. For easier navigation, you can press and hold the tab and drag it to the side of the screen to have the Page Editor and the Search results tab open simultaneously.
