I’m trying to create a import definition which reads the data from a specific excel sheet:
No matter what is try, the import reads the data from the first worksheet in the file instead of the sheet with the given name.
There are a few ways to approach this.
Often it is recommended to create an “dummy” exportdefinition first. With all the fields you would like to be imported.
The setting Embedded importdefinitions is set to Manual. When you are ready with all your filter and field selection, you are able to generate the importdefinition.

Export the file and check the spelling of the sheet.
If you have more sheets, bare in mind it’s case sensitive.
I would like to emphasize the case sensitive point. And also beware of spaces or other invisible characters in your sheet name.
