Linking unlinked revisions to a message in product issue

Hi,

I’m currently using the QA scanner and I am getting some product issues regarding unlinked revisions (see image). How can I link revisions to a message in a product issue?

Hello Timothy,

You can do this by opening the Product issue in Novulo Network.
The fastest way to do this is via global search (CTRL+F) by typing “PI” followed by the number.

  • On the Product issue page go to More > All Messages
  • Open the message you want to link a product version to
  • Edit and fill the field Product version and save

Thank you for your response. I tried the above mentioned solution but I cannot find the revisions that are unlinked.

I think that the issue is that they are not linked to any product issue at all. When I open this model there is only one product issue in which I can see the revisions 1 to 10 but 11 to 19 are nowhere to be found and I think that is why it gives me the error of unlinked revisions.

I however can open the revisions 11 to 19 in the architect. Might there be a way to link them to a product issue from there?

Hi Timothy,

That should only happen if the revision was saved in the Architect without being connected to the issue tracker. Just to be sure: can you check these settings in your Architect are filled and working correctly by pressing the ‘Test’ button? You can find them in the menu on the top left corner > Architect Options.

I’ll take a closer look what needs to be done to fix this. What is the specific component number?

Hi Redmer,

I am logged in to this now. I think you are right, that the unlinked issues started after saving without being logged in to the issue tracker.

The component number is 10350.

Aha, ok. Good to know the source of the problem :slight_smile:

The solution is to add the production messages on the product issue manually and link them to a specific component revision (product version). Normaly they are created from within the Architect, as long as you have the issue tracker linked, and automaticly linked to the version you are saving.

I took a look at your rightsprofile in Novulo Network and you should be able to add a production message by following the steps in my first reaction on this post.

I’ve taken a look On PI50315 i created a message and was able to link it to version:

Can you tell me exactly where you cannot proceed?

Thank you. I created new messages which I could link to the unlinked revisions. So now I don’t have unlinked revisions anymore. :slight_smile:
