Novulo Traceformatter version 5.1

A new version of the Novulo trace formatter has been released. The update happens automatically. You can force an update via the links below or by restarting your browser:

New features / fixes

• You can download a raw, unformatted version of a trace. This simplifies sharing with others who may not have the traceformatter installed.
  
• Opening old traces from local files has become more stable.
• The visibility of tables with additional information can now be toggled at the bottom of the trace.
  
• The close and copy buttons do no longer overlap with content of the sidebar to improve the readability.
  
  
• Search highlights also work in the opened sidebar
  
  
• Special characters like “<” or “>” are now also found when searching.

The download raw is nice addition. It would be great if the plugin could handle the download as well.

In the Chrome plugin, you cannot adjust the column width (you can only make them even smaller), so you can’t read the header and see the complete column.

Hey Joram,
thank you for your feedback! I will make the small columns more usable/readable in the next version. The title of the first column is “From First(s)” and the title of the second is “From Last(s)”, by the way. These columns are used to calculate the “Slow processes” ranking.

• From First(s): The elapsed time in seconds since the first line in the trace
• From Last(s): The elapsed time in seconds since the previous line in the trace

What do you mean exactly by “handle the download as well”?
Do you want to use the dialogue to choose the location and filename manually before saving the file? That would be possible.

That the download is handled by the plugin in the same manner, so you can collapse and highlight. As if you were doing a regular trace.
Dialogue for saving is not important for me.
