Release notes Platform 3.10-RC

Architect

The Architect 3.10-RC contains extensive work on the UI & UX.

Highlights:

• Upgraded and reorganised the Ribbon to improve discoverability and usability.
• New icon set using modern SVG-based icons (Fluent UI) for a more consistent visual language.
• Improved docking experience with a new docking framework.
• Updated font applied throughout the interface.
• The Architect now operates on Java 21.

Framework & Generator

The Framework & Generator 3.10-RC are released to keep the platform version numbers in sync with the Architect; they do not contain major new changes themselves.

For completeness, the product issues that were not included in a previous stable release are listed below

• PI58521 - Formrows in shared formpanels sometimes don’t have a title
• PI59303 - When loading an external fails, clearly indicate the external that failed to load.

Release notes Framework and Generator 3.8/3.9 update

The stable versions of the 3.8 and 3.9 Framework and Generator are being updated so applications that use the stable versions can benefit from the improvements.

We recommend that applications that currently use NB versions switch back to the stable versions.

The product issues included in the updates are listed below.

Product issues in Framework 3.8 update

• PI54926 - Result type of SQL for StandardProduct is float
• PI56020 - Password self reset displays contact name instead of username
• PI56175 - Use shorter hashes in filenames
• PI57241 - Quicksearching in float fields on small/large integer values gives an int overflowexception

• PI56595 - InvalidCastException after delete error/warning message icw inheritance and cascades
