We just released an update of the 3.10-CTP (in the Architect title bar now the number C13972 is visible).
One of the most visual changes has been to add buttons to the top right of the Architect.
- The different modes or perspectives are moved to the top right and the Views tab has been renamed to Review & translate:
- In Review & translate Work items and the translation input can be found:
- To add new panels to the Architect or to reset your layout, use the panels drop down to be found in the top right:
- In front of the panels drop down the previous selection and next selection buttons can be found:
With these buttons it is possible to cycle through the elements you had selected in the Architect. - In the Home tab now the Find button has its place:
These changes were necessary in order to move buttons out from the Architect title bar, this prevented with the previous release the ability to use the native Windows docking behavior.
This also gave us the idea to move the perspective buttons (design, data model, compare & translate) to this place in order to have those buttons closer by hand and it improved the flow after a perspective switch in that it is not necessary anymore to reselect the Home tab.
Finally we added the panels drop down there in order to have all interface changing functionality together and close by hand during your component development.
Other notable changes:
- Using the QA scanner for 3.10-CTP saved models is now possible again
- Already mentioned above, but the default Windows docking behavior for applications on Windows 10 and 11 is back.
- When maximizing on a second screen, the Architect gets also maximized on that screen
- Compare panels are closed automatically if you switch to another perspective
- When having three columns in the Architect, resizing the right column does not influence the size of the left most column anymore.
- On the Mac you now see the content of the panels when dragging:
- Other visual glitches on the Mac have been fixed
- User type settings can now be found at the settings of your component:
Known Issues
The following visual issues are known and we are working on fixing them for the RC version.
- Some ribbon buttons have the title 3 pixels higher, this is the case when a ribbon button can be clicked or has a dropdown menu but not both.
- In the Novulo tree page elements with and without an icon are laid out a bit differently
