Process action definitions (Procesaanroepen)

Process action definitions

The processes that are defined in components are accessible in the application through “Process action definitions”. These processes can be used in Workflows; Planned tasks; (H)CMS; Rest calls; etc.

The list of processes that are available to you is dependend on which components you have.

How to add a process action definition

  1. Go to settings of your application
  2. Find ‘process action definitions’.
  3. Create a new one.
  4. In the dropdown, choose the process of your choice. For example, “sales_price_list_items_set_all_prices_to_currentcontrollercomponent_2460130” takes a while for the content to load, so be patient. After that, click on save.
  5. Click the button to (re)load parameters and return value. If the process has any, they will appear in the grids below.
You have now successfully created a process call. It can be used in workflows or scheduled tasks.

Fun facts

  • There are a couple of common processes that are almost always added to every configuration:
    • changerecordprocess (Commonly known as “Add/Edit”)
    • novuloworkflowcachevalue (Commonly known as “Cache value”)
  • The numbers at the end of the process name represent the ID of the process for your application. So if you open your application in the Architect and search this ID number, you will find this same process. This ID number will be different per application, so it’s not a unique identifier per process.
