Updates to core datasets: Rights profile export + Export for Exportdefinitions

There will be updates to Rights Export (D744) and Export for Exportdefinitions Datasets (D707) next week.

Compatibility

  • Works with Framework versions 3.7 through 3.9
  • Compatible with all active applications using Novulo export component r118 or later

Key Changes

Rights Export Changes

  • For Framework 3.9 users:
    • Two new fields will be added automatically: is_active and is_admin_profile
    • If you upgrade to Framework 3.9, you’ll need to reimport your dataset to get these new fields

Performance Improvements

  • When using the latest Novulo Import plugin, available in M3448- Novulo Import r205+:
    • Huge performance improvement on updating existing rightsprofiles
    • This improvement comes from the new “commit only if needed” feature

Export Definition Updates

  • The system now automatically handles differences between models:
    • Unknown fields are automatically removed from import definitions
    • Unknown standard fields are removed from export definitions, nonstandard fields will not be checked.
  • Important note: If you’ve made custom changes to your exports, they may be removed after reimporting
  • Your deployment export settings in the configuration application will not be affected

What This Means for You

  • If you’re not using Framework 3.9 or the latest Novulo Import plugin, your datasets will work as before
  • To benefit from these improvements, you’ll need to:
    1. Upgrade to Framework 3.9 and/or the latest import component
    2. Reimport your dataset

These datasets are currently available as N/A versions, but will be approved on tuesday, after which deployment will automatically add them to your installation if you installed one of these datasets before.
