Use the default answers on the SPLI to questions in Question Groups / Carts / REST

In a previous topic I asked about the read_only and visibility options from questions in the Cart / REST endpoints.

In this same usecase, I would like to set the default answers which apply on the quesions from the SPLI, to the Cart when questions are loaded.

So on this SPLI a default answer is set to the question:

I would like the cart on load to contain this question with the same prefilled answer:

Is this behaviour already available and am I missing something? Or is this something which we can add to our backlog..
