E-mailing Application log

Hi,

We would like to send any errors in the application log to an e-mail address (and later to a teams channel).
How can we set this up ? I looked into mail subscriptions but I cannot get it to send e-mails.

@ArnoldT, you could send email via activities. As soon as the needed log is created > you can create an activity recod with the email type and define the content.

A couple of questions:

  • Did you configure an activity template to be used by the datasources you added to the mail subscription? (At the activity template make sure that the Create primary recipient based on activity checkbox is checked)

  • Is an activity created at the mail subscription when you click on ‘Send email now’? (You can add the activities grid via the ‘More’ menu)

  • If you answered yes on both questions: If you go to Application logs, do you see that an attempt is made to send the e-mail? And did it result in an error?

Furthermore, based on your screenshot it looks like there are no logs that are ‘eligable for next e-mail’ so that’s also a reason no email is sent.
