Behind the scenes of international payments, a major modernization effort is currently underway. As of 15 November 2026, banks (such as ABN AMRO, ING, and Rabobank) will require the transition to the new ISO 20022 payment standard. This means that address information in payment files must be provided in a structured format from that date onward, with separate fields for street name, house number, postal code, and similar address components.
Because you use the Novulo platform for your business processes, we would like to inform you about this change well in advance.
What is the impact on your organization?
The impact depends entirely on your customer and supplier base:

Do you only conduct business within the EEA (Europe)?
In that case, the impact is minimal. Your bank will automatically provide your own address details in a structured format. The recommendation is simply not to include the beneficiary’s address details in the export files. -
Do you conduct business outside the EEA (e.g., the United Kingdom, the United States, or Asia)?
In that case, action is required. For international (SWIFT) payments outside Europe, structured address information of the counterparty will become mandatory as of 15 November 2026. If the export file does not meet these requirements, the bank may reject or delay the payment.

Novulo recommends installing and using this dataset as soon as possible. By doing so, you will be fully up to date for payments both within and outside the EEA, and you will be able to provide address information in the required structured format.
